History of The Village of Bloomdale

Bloomdale had its start when the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad was extended to that point.The village was platted in 1852, and given its commendatory name. A post office called Bloomdale has been in operation since 1874. Bloomdale was incorporated in 1888.

Cory Kirian is the new Village Clerk/Treasurer after the retirement of Shirley Rosendale who spent many many years as the Clerk/Treasurer for the Village. Cory's hours at the office are every Thursday afternoon from 5-9 or by appointment - call 419-454-2941
